Terms of Service

Welcome to RustConsoleServers.com ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our website, services, or Discord bot, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Who We Are

RustConsoleServers.com is an independent server listing platform for Rust Console Edition. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Facepunch Studios or Double Eleven Limited in any way. "Rust" and related marks are property of their respective owners.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this service. By using RustConsoleServers.com you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Accounts & Authentication

We use Discord OAuth for authentication. By signing in you grant us access to your basic Discord profile information (username, avatar, email). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms at any time without notice.

4. Server Listings

• You may only list servers that you own or have explicit permission to advertise.
• All listing information must be accurate. Misleading descriptions, fake player counts, or false server details are prohibited.
• Listings must be for Rust Console Edition servers only.
• We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, without refund.
• Free listings expire after 30 days if not confirmed from your dashboard. Paid listings remain active for the duration of your subscription.

5. Prohibited Content

You agree not to list or promote servers that:

• Encourage hacking, cheating, or exploiting.
• Contain hate speech, racism, or discriminatory content.
• Target or harass other players or server owners.
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Advertise non-Rust Console services or unrelated content.

6. Paid Plans & Billing

• Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges.
• All prices are in AUD and exclusive of any applicable taxes.
• You may cancel at any time from your dashboard. Your listing will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which it will revert to the free tier.
• If a payment fails, your listing will be automatically moved to the free tier until payment is resolved.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
• Server Boosts are non-refundable. If all slots are taken at the time of payment, your boost is queued and activates automatically when a slot opens - your 4 hours begins from that point.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 14 days' notice.

7. Discord Bot — Minimum Permissions

Our optional Discord bot can be invited to your server to provide live player count updates. We follow least-privilege permissions — the bot only needs View Channel in the one channel whose name contains your player count.

By inviting the bot you agree:

• The bot only reads the name of the channel you linked via /setup — not message content, not any other channel, not voice, not DMs.
• You can revoke any permission at any time from Discord's Server Settings → Integrations → RCE Bot.
• The bot may be temporarily offline for maintenance or due to upstream provider issues (Discord, Railway).
• You will not abuse the bot (e.g. spamming wipe announcements to bypass cooldowns).

8. Wipe Announcements

Wipe announcements are available to paid plan subscribers only. To prevent abuse, announcements are subject to a cooldown period based on your wipe schedule (Daily = 24h, Weekly = 7d, Bi-weekly = 14d, Monthly = 30d). Wipe events also auto-post to our community Discord's #wipe-alerts channel. Attempting to circumvent the cooldown may result in account suspension.

9. Community Discord

We operate a community Discord server. By joining, you agree to follow the rules posted in #rules and Discord's own Terms of Service. Specifically:

• No spam (posting your server in unrelated channels, DM recruiting, etc.) — repeat violations = ban.
• The Server Owner and Verified Owner roles can only be granted via the /claim-owner command, which verifies ownership against the website database. Attempts to spoof ownership will result in a permanent ban.
• Support tickets are private channels between you and our mod team — they are deleted on close. Do not share sensitive information you wouldn't want a mod to see.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on RustConsoleServers.com, including the design, logo, and code, is owned by us. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute any part of the site without our express written permission. Server owners retain ownership of their own listing content.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

RustConsoleServers.com is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of player counts, or uninterrupted service. Use the platform at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RustConsoleServers.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or players.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
